Prepaid SIM cards are available in all cities in Indonesia. The SIM card can be used for local and international calls and for data.

CURRENCY

Rupiah (Rp) is the Indonesian currency which applies throughout Indonesia. ATM Bersama cards can be used at Bank BRI and Bank Papua ATM machines in Wasior City. In Rumberpon and Purup there are no banks and ATM machines, tourists are advised to bring cash.

TRAVEL AND TRANSFER

Transfer by speedboat and longboard is the easiest mode of transportation and is always available. If you are traveling back from Purup to Wasior City or Manokwari City, you can rent a longboat from Rumberpon and to arrive at Manokwari you have to go through Mount Bald Manokwari south by using a taxi to arrive at Manokwari City. If you are traveling to the city of Manokwari via the city of Wasior, the ferry service is always available and scheduled. Susi Air's pioneer aircraft is always there three times a week. Several daily flights operate at the airport in Manokwari City.

Import of alcohol by individuals is not permitted. But if you need it, we suggest contacting your guide to provide as needed.

The average temperature in Teluk Wondama Regency ranges from 200 - 380 C, which coincides with the dry season (July and August). Cotton clothes are perfect for hot tropical climates. Tourists are expected to respect local culture and dress modestly when visiting or staying on inhabited islands. Sandals are ideal, as you will likely want to take them off and go barefoot most of the time.
